Get Straight Teeth In 3 Easy Steps

Invisalign treatment is simple, fast and highly efficient. At Brite Dental we have broken down our Invisalign process into three simple steps that will help you achieve perfectly straight teeth in next to no time!

Step 1

Creating your Invisalign aligners

After we’ve determined your suitability for this treatment, we take digital x-rays, scans of your teeth and moulded impressions to send to the dental lab to engineer your Invisalign brace (aligners).

At our dental practice, you’ll benefit from the best in digital technology. The software we use allows us to create a digital image of how your teeth will change at every stage of the process, meaning you can see the final position of your teeth before you’ve even started your Invisalign treatment.

Step 2

Wearing your clear brace aligners

Your bespoke Invisalign aligners must be worn for two weeks before switching to the next set of aligners in the series. Each tray is designed so that your teeth are marginally straighter than the previous tray.

These aligners are completely removable, and so you can take them out while eating, socialising or when in an important meeting at work. The length of time to complete the treatment depends on the complexity of the straightening issue but generally takes between six to nine months.

Step 3

Enjoying your Invisalign results

Once your treatment is complete, it’s time to enjoy your new boosted confidence! Make sure to keep visiting us for regular dental care and brush and floss as normal. You may need to continue wearing a retainer to keep your teeth in the correct place. Many of our patients choose to wear their retainer at night.

If you notice any misalignment occurring, then don’t hesitate to get in touch! Our Invisalign service extends to after the treatment course has finished so we’ll be more than happy to help solve any issues that may occur later on.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Invisalign work compared to traditional braces?

Invisalign utilises a series of clear, removable aligners that gradually shift your teeth into the desired position. Unlike traditional braces, which use brackets and wires, Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible and can be easily removed for eating, brushing, and flossing.

What are the benefits of choosing Invisalign over traditional braces?

Invisalign offers several advantages over traditional braces, including a more discreet appearance, greater comfort due to absence of metal brackets and wires, easier maintenance with no dietary restrictions, and convenience with fewer visits to the orthodontist for adjustments.

How long does the Invisalign treatment process typically take?

The duration of Invisalign treatment varies depending on individual needs, but on average, it takes about 12 to 18 months for most adults. For teens, the duration may vary based on the severity of the case. Your orthodontist will provide a personalized treatment plan outlining the estimated timeline.

Are there any dietary restrictions or special care instructions while using Invisalign?

One of the key benefits of Invisalign is that there are no dietary restrictions since the aligners are removable. However, it's important to avoid eating or drinking anything other than water while wearing the aligners to prevent staining and damage. Additionally, proper oral hygiene is crucial; brush and floss your teeth before reinserting the aligners to maintain good oral health throughout the treatment process.
